Inlanta fights cancer at the Lombardi Walk

On Saturday, July 23rd, a group of Inlanta employees participated in the Lombardi Walk/Run to Tackle Cancer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This annual fundraiser aids in cancer research and allows the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation and Aurora Cancer Care to provide better treatments to those in need.

Sporting their Team Inlanta shirts, our team of 24 – consisting of Inlanta employees and their families and friends – endured the sweltering heat to participate in the event as a show of support for Joe Ramis, Inlanta’s senior vice president of loan production, who is currently going through cancer treatments. Our team reported having a great day with their colleagues supporting an incredible cause. Liz Labodda from Accounting, who is an avid runner, even took home the first place medal for runners in her age group!

Over the past few years, Inlanta has seen many of those we care about affected by this terrible disease, both employees and their loved ones. As a company, we have made it our philanthropic mission to help find a cure for cancer and show support for our Inlanta family members. We accomplish this by participating in events like the Lombardi Walk/Run to Tackle Cancer and hosting our own internal fundraisers to raise money for cancer research.

Team Inlanta had a goal of raising $3,000 to help tackle cancer. With a company match, our employees were able to raise $8,080 for the Lombardi Walk/Run to Tackle Cancer, pushing Inlanta to the #5 fundraising team for the event. We are grateful to work with so many kindhearted and giving individuals, and we hope that our contributions will bring cancer researchers one step closer to finding a cure.

Loan Officers Teach Personal Finance

Reality Store

Teaching our young people about personal finance is essential to their long term well-being. Oconomowoc High School administrators understand the need to educate our youth about personal finance and each year organizes its Reality Store Program to give kids a little dose of the reality that awaits them.

The Reality Store

The Reality Store Program walks the kids through decisions that will affect their personal finances such as college, careers, transportation and the decision to purchase or rent a home. This program was designed to engage and maintain the interest of each of the 370 students who participated.

Inlanta Mortgage loan consultants, Patty Napgezek and Kristine Steinbach, were excited to help the students with their personal housing decisions. The women calculated each student’s debt-to-income ratios and helped them determine if they had enough money left after college loans and auto payments to purchase a home. The overall simulation was very realistic.

The Results

Patty Napgezek, a former educator, stated that by providing this little touch of reality, we are essentially opening their eyes to what is in store for them. She said, “Today’s kids want the best of everything…new house, new car, new iPhones. This simulation changed their reality.”

Some students were surprised to learn that what they assumed was affordable and easily attainable – was in many cases not possible. Kristine Steinbach commented, “Many students said they would live with as many friends as possible to save on housing costs…which in theory sounds OK – but is much more difficult in reality. Another student expressed anguish that achieving her dreams was going to be harder then she anticipated. The student wondered ‘how can I do what I want to do in life’ – since she wanted to be a zoologist she expected low pay, and high student loans where she could barely make a living.” Kristine also said, “By taking time out of my day to help these students realize the importance of a dollar was quite satisfying….I think any help we can give our kids helps shape their financial well-being….this is a good feeling.”

Patty and Kristine are both licensed mortgage loan professionals and have been helping customers with their home financing needs for many years. For further information on the Reality Store program or for home financing advice (including refinancing options), contact Patty Napgezek at 262-490-9050.

Inlanta Mortgage Adds 3 New Branches

Three New Branches Join Inlanta Mortgage

As the mortgage industry continues to consolidate, veteran mortgage professionals seek to align themselves with mortgage banking companies that will provide them with comprehensive support services that enable them to best serve their customers and their communities. Inlanta Mortgage is pleased to announce that three groups of seasoned mortgage veterans have recently joined the Inlanta team looking to take advantage of Inlanta’s support services.

Recent additions to the Inlanta Mortgage family include fourteen year mortgage veteran Yvette Clermont and her De Pere, Wisconsin mortgage company; fifteen year veteran Dan Palmer of Schaumburg, Illinois; Laura Leonhard and her team of experienced mortgage professionals in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Branch partners and their teams receive the full support of an experienced administrative team headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Support services included information technology (IT), marketing, compliance support, in-house underwriting, as well as experienced funding and processing departments.

In a recent study by Hammersmith, mortgage professionals are changing their preferred employers from large national players to regional, more local, mortgage bankers in seeking comprehensive support services for their branch operations. These mortgage professionals also place a high value on ethical business practices. In fact, integrity was listed as the most valuable characteristic sought from company leadership. Inlanta Mortgage has maintained a commitment to the highest ethical standards since it was founded in 1993.

The Hammersmith survey also asked mortgage loan originators what one tool or resource they would change about their current company. 30% of respondents reported they wanted better marketing platform/continuity support while nearly 20% reported better technology (including integrated systems, easy to use and accessible over the web). Inlanta Mortgage’s marketing support team can assist loan officers with every aspect of their marketing plan including web site development, advertising copy and layout, and advanced customer relationship management. Inlanta Mortgage’s technology platform was recognized by Mortgage Technology Magazine and awarded with their prestigious Top 25 Tech Savvy Lenders recognition.

Inlanta Mortgage continues to seek qualified mortgage professionals for branch partnerships and individual loan originators to join successful and established branches in Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Contact us for more information.
